Larry Bird’s impact on NBA basket ball history was immediate. For the 1980 season the Celtics were led by Larry Bird into superstardom legacy. Bird has been voted on the Eastern Conference All Star Team and had been named the league’s Rookie of The Year. He was honored with this name all his twelve seasons of his career at the NBA for all. He was scoring second in assists, 10 rebounds per game and 12 points per game. In Bird’s second season – the Celtics were led by him into the NBA Playoffs. Larry Bird helped the Celtics shortage by winning the last 3 games, that propelled the Celtics and helping them overcome.

In the year 1984 Bird won the award for Most Valuable Player by beating the L.A Lakers in a seven game final. The Boston Celtics could have another year that is unbelievable by defeating The Rockets. Bird had been honored with the Finals MVP Award for this year. Bird made his final appearance from the Milwaukee Bucks and the Detroit Pistons for the Celtics. The Celtics ended up losing to the Detroit Pistons in 1988 and to the unmatched Lakers in six games, that year. Bird’s body continued to deteriorate to debilitating back issues to injuries and spurs in his heels.

Both these conditions would have led to his retirement in 1992. Unwilling to stop because of accidents, that he joined Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan to play in the US basket ball team for the 1992 Olympic games in Barcelona, Spain.
