There are three main problems in NASCAR today:
- Sponsorship has taken over the sport. I mean that probably the sponsors are not happy.
- The sport is too expensive
- The sport isn't as exciting or is now that much exciting as it used to be once.

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), one of the
premier sanctioning organizations in America for motorsports. Besides
the three largest racing series, the Busch Series, Craftsman Truck

The Jimmie Johnson of California made NASCAR history when he became the
only second driver to win three NASCAR Sprint cup series consecutively
between 2007-2008. By claiming 42 race wins in the career, he has
dominated the second most popular and second most richest motorsport
after Formula One.
The Phoenix International Raceway and NASCAR

Variety of NASCAR and IRL events are hosted throughout the year at the
Phoenix International Raceway, which was opened in 1988. The checkers
auto part course is 312 miles long, that is equal to 312 laps. The race
held on the course last year had an average speed of 103MPH.
