Since his early years, Cristiano Ronaldo was inclined to football and started to show great talent in that aspect for football. This ultimately helped him introduce himself to professional football in Portugal. He joined the Clube Desportivo Nacional, and this is where he began his formation and development as a player. It was something that offered him the opportunity to stand out as a renown player in his country.

After obtaining the must-needed abilities of a soccer player, Ronaldo joined Portugal's one of the most important teams of First Division, Sporting Lisboa, where he played until 2001. While with the team he developed his typical style of playing style and raise his game level. Cristiano Ronaldo officially debuted on October 2001, as a professional footballer at the Portugal' Superliga, when he was only 17 years old. But, his impressive style and great performance made him shine and managed to becaome a regular player on the field for Sporting.

In 2003, Ronaldo's magic was seen out of Portugal, who was noticed by the Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United at a friendly encounter for the Euro Cup. The latter started the negotiations with the Portuguese star, to include him in the Manchester United team, and Ronaldo finally ended up with joining the British team, replacing David Beckham, who at the time transferred to Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo held the England team to a victory on the FA Cup. His peformance on the British club, made him worthy of the titles, including Best Young Footballer at a world level, the FIFPro 2005 and 2006. He also held the record of scoring 1000 goal for the Manchester United on the Premier League in 2005.

Apart from his personal achievements, Ronaldo served for the Manchester United in grabbing the team the titles, including Carling Cup, Community Shield, FA Premier League and the last UEFA Champions League edition.

His hard work and achievements continue till this year and that made him to earn the titles of Ballon d'Or 2008. It turns him into the Best Footballer of the Year and even places him above the likes of  Lionel Messi, Fernando Torres and even Kaka, who won the trophy last year.
