One of the most popular adventurous outdoor activity is Hiking. In this activity the person (hiker) is required to walk and trek on mountains. At times, while hiking blisters get formed against your socks or boots because of the friction that occurs when your skin rubs. It is known to spoil a great hike if not handled properly.

Although, blisters aren't completely preventable, but the selection of right socks and boots can help you keep away the blisters.

- One of the main reasons behind blister formation is friction between your skin and socks. To avoid such a situation make sure to wear a good pair of socks. Generally, socks that are light and synthetic socks are best suit. It is important that the sock fits perfectly and has no bulky seams. Today, you'll find socks made from variety of modern materials, like lycra and polyester to relax your feet but also wick away sweat quickly.
- Buying the right hiking boots also help in avoiding blisters. Make sure that your boots are stiff as well as comfortable. Try your boots before you actually go for hiking.
- Take proper care of your boots to make them last longer. Dry your feet properly before putting your sock back on and check that there is no gravel in your boot before you lace up.
