Archery is said to be an art, skill or practice, deals with an arrow and bow for warfare, hunting or as a sport! Today's bows that are used for pushing arrows are typically made of fiberglass, wood, or carbon composites. Graphites are also used a string or a taut cord in order to connect the bend ends of the bow.

An arrow is usually made of carbon graphite or aluminum. It is pointed at one end and a fight-stabilizing feather at the other end. The notch of this butt end is fitted and built into the bowstring. When the taut cord is recoiled, the bow bends for maximum pressure. As the taut is released, the arrow is propelled.

Arrows and bows comprise the basic archery equipment. These should be constructed accurately as well should be made with the finest materials. Recurve bows consist a tip curving away from the user when the bow is unstrung. There are also cross-selections of the limbs, for example, with flat bows and longbows. There are also flat bows, which have a wide limb and a rectangular cross-section. Longbows are tall bows which possess narrow limbs with a D-shape in the cross section.

A normal arrow consists of a shaft with an arrowhead connected onto the front end. Shafts are usually made of fiberglass, solid wood, aluminum alloy, carbon fiber, carbon, or alloy composite.

Fiberglass arrows are brittle, while wooden arrows are sturdier, and are shaped flat to warping. Today, alloy and carbon arrows are more popular as tournament arrows for the Olympics.
